A huge thank you to Ryan, his family and friends, who recently took on an incredible 12-hour darts marathon in support of Blue Skies.
Held on 19 September, the challenge began at 10am and continued right through until 10pm, with the team spending the day testing their focus, determination and darts skills, all while raising funds to support patients and families across Blackpool Teaching Hospitals.
Joining Ryan for the marathon were his brother Craig, nephew Josh, Josh’s friend Jack, and Jack’s dad Andy. Together, they kept the darts flying throughout the day in aid of a cause close to their hearts.
While the players were busy at the oche, the rest of Ryan’s family played a vital role in making the event a success, selling sweets and sandwiches, raffle tickets and running a tombola and lucky dip for supporters. The day was rounded off with a fantastic live singer, bringing the fundraising event to a memorable close.
The team’s fundraising target was £500, but thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended and supported the event, they exceeded their goal and raised an amazing £643.66.
Ryan said: “We wanted to bring family and friends together to do something fun while raising money for a great cause. I’d like to thank everyone who supported us throughout the day, whether that was taking part, volunteering, buying raffle tickets or donating. We’re really pleased to have beaten our target and raise £643.66 for Blue Skies.”
Everyone at Blue Skies Hospitals Fund would like to thank Ryan, Craig, Josh, Jack, Andy and all of their family and supporters for their fantastic fundraising efforts.
